DARWIN'S EVOLUTION
In Arts & Crafts we are going to start a project about the Evolutionism. We are going to record a documentary in which we will explain the differences between some animals in different countries. We will do that through a story we have to write and act out in groups.
This way, we connect what we have learnt in Natural Science and Social Science.

OUR STONE AGE CAVES
During the end of this exciting, as well as intensive term, we have made these wonderful stone age caves. The yellow cave belongs to 2B and the brown one has been made by 2A. As can be seen, there are lots of tools in the caves for the stone age people to hunt animals and different traditional cave paintings. There are also animal skins, but they are not in the photos... Sorry!
Apart from the caves, the incredible children in Year 2 have created a very big castle with cardboard and recycling materials. We will take a photo of the castle and uploaded it onto the blog in a few days.

ORIGAMI
Hi children!
As you know, Anty Dumpty and Snake's wedding is the next Friday, and we are going to help Snake to make her bride's bouquet. To do so, we are going to use colour paper to make flowers like this:
Is it a peace of cake? :)
And to look smart we are going to make this bow tie, do you like it?
Remember to write a comment!

ARTS & CRAFTS - NEXT PROJECT

EXPERIMENT - FORCES CHANGE THE SHAPE
Yesterday in 2B, and today in 2A, we have investigated how forces like "push" and "pull" can change the shape of objects. To do so, we have created some interesting things with modeling clay (Plasticine).

THE INVESTIGATION BOARD
In the English classroom we've got a fantastic board with lots of investigation projects made by the students in Year 2 in their houses. Every project you bring to the classroom is showed and we talk about it IN ENGLISH. Of course, after such presentation I give you a positive mark because it means you show interest in the topic we are dealing with.
I encourage you all to continue working this way at home and I remind you that the next topic we are going to work on is "Animals", so if you have got a picture of your pet you can take it to the classroom.
Pet = domestic animal that lives with you at home.
